Nicolas Ochsner

I am a computer scientist from Zurich, Switzerland. On weekends, I work as a barchef in a unique cocktail bar and techno club. Recently, I finished my PhD in computational evolution at ETH Zurich, where I simulated viral evolution to question the methods used to study epidemics. Beyond that, I have years of experience with Machine Learning, from safe robotic control policies through Reinforcement Learning to self-supervised training of transformers on huge data sets. Now, I am looking for a new challenge, to push the boundaries of my own knowledge and skills while creating applications that stretch beyond academic research. I am particularly interested in connecting physical and digital worlds, working on the technological needs of a future that is sustainable towards our society.
